Phnom Penh – The Ministry of Health told on Thursday that at least 44 in Cambodia had contacts with the Japanese man tested positive with Covid-19. The 44 will be quarantined for 14 days despite that they are being healthy, according to health official Ly Sovann. “Four people among the 44 had direct contacts with the man,” Sovann told. Ministry of Health has received clear information from the Japanese side that the Japanese man is indeed positive with Covid-19 when he arrived in Japan, according to Health Minister Mam Bun Heng.
The ministry said the Japanese man is an international businessman, not traveling as a tourist. He has recently been to Cambodia, Vietnam, Thailand, the Philippines and Japan and that no sources have confirmed when or where he was infected with Covid-19.
